For app brands
UGC for mobile apps, paid per download or action.
Creators post user-generated content (UGC) about your mobile app on their own accounts with a tracked link, and you pay for the downloads or actions that come through it, not for the videos. Yousie calls that campaign a collab.
Free to join. No subscription. 0% commission for brands and agencies.
Collab
What every collab states
- App
- One you own or are authorized to promote
- Paid result
- A download, or an action you define
- Amount
- Stated by you, for each result
- Conditions
- Any you attach, such as countries or platforms
From the terms of use. Detail: what a collab states.
Cost
What do you pay for, and what does it cost?
You set the amount per result in your collab; Yousie publishes no rate per result. Its commission is taken from what the creator earns, not added to what you pay: pricing has it in full.
You pay for
- Each valid download of your app that comes through a creator’s Yousie link.
- Or, when your collab defines another action as the paid result, each valid one that comes through that link.
You do not pay for
- A video or a post.
- A subscription or a joining fee.
- A commission on top of the results.
- A result found invalid: one obtained by fraud, or in breach of the terms or of your conditions.
- 0% commission for app brands and agencies
- 20% commission Yousie keeps on what creators earn through collabs
- €80 what a creator receives of €100 earned, in the pricing page’s example
Billing and budget limits
How and when you are billed, and whether a collab can carry a budget limit, are not published. The terms of use say that you pay on the payment conditions shown when the collab is set up.
Changing or ending a collab
The terms of use let you change or end a collab: a change applies only to results recorded after it takes effect, and results already recorded stay payable.
Agencies and Enterprise
An agency acting for an app brand is a brand under the terms: same rules, same 0% commission. Enterprise, as the pricing page describes it, is for companies with specific needs and starts with a demo.
Compare
How does Yousie compare with a UGC agency or marketplace?
No model wins on every row. A flat fee per sponsored post sits between a flat fee per video and pay per result: the creator publishes on their own account, and the fee is due whatever the post brings.
| What you compare | Flat fee per video | Monthly fee | Pay per result on Yousie |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you pay for | Each video delivered to you | Platform access or an agency’s time, each month | Each valid download or action through a creator’s link |
| Who publishes | You, on your own channels and in your ads | Set by the plan or the retainer | The creator, on their own account and in their own name |
| If a video brings nobody | You have paid for it | The month is due all the same | You pay nothing, and the creator earns nothing |
| What you know in advance | The cost and the number of videos | The monthly cost | The amount per result, not the number of results |
| What you hold afterward | The files, to run where your contract allows | What the plan or retainer includes | No files. The video stays on the creator’s account, and using it as your ad needs their agreement |
| What you can measure | Whatever you measure where you run the video | What the platform or agency reports | Results through creators’ links, and nothing that arrives another way |
Fit
When is Yousie the wrong choice?
You need video files for your own ads
You receive no files by default, and running a creator’s video as your ad needs their agreement. A flat fee per video is built for that.
You need a set number of videos by a date
No creator is obliged to join or to publish, and Yousie promises no number of results. If a launch needs twenty variants by Friday, order them.
You want someone to run the campaign
Under its terms Yousie provides the link, records results, collects what you owe and pays creators. Managing your campaign is not on that list. An agency retainer pays for that.
You want to approve every post first
Whether a brand can review content before it goes out is not published. You do set your collab’s conditions, and a result obtained in breach of them is not charged.
No case studies yet
Yousie is a new marketplace: there is no case study, client list or benchmark to show. The case studies page says what one would report.
How it works
How does a collab work for a brand?
You publish a collab that states the app, the result you pay for, the amount for each result and your conditions. Creators choose whether to join it. Each one who does receives a personal Yousie link and posts about your app on their own account; your conditions can name the platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
Yousie records the downloads or actions that come through each link, and you see the results of your collabs. A valid result is added to the creator’s earnings and charged to you at the amount your collab states. An invalid one is neither.
That is the sequence the terms of use set out, seen from your side.
Who does what
- You
- Publish the collab, pay for valid results
- The creator
- Joins, then posts with a Yousie link
- Yousie
- Records results, charges you, pays the creator
Tracking
How are results tracked?
Each creator who joins receives a personal tracked link, the Yousie link. Yousie records when it is followed and whether a download or an action came after it. Those records are the basis for what the creator earns and what you are charged.
The terms forbid bots, click farms, installs a creator makes or arranges, rewards for a download, misleading or forced redirects and spam. A result obtained that way, or in breach of your conditions, is not valid: the creator earns nothing and you are not charged. What counts as a result has the full definition.
A link sees only what passes through it. Someone who watches a video, then installs by searching the store without following the link, is a real user credited to no creator: you are not charged, and the creator is not paid.
How Yousie tracks a download technically, how long after a click a result still counts and whether you have anything to set up are not published. If one of them decides the matter for your app, raise it in a demo.
What the link counts
- Recorded
- Downloads or actions through the link
- Invalid results
- Not paid, not charged
- Outside the link
- Not attributed to a creator
Your side
What does Yousie ask of a brand?
A lawful app, described accurately
You list an app you own or are authorized to promote, describe it accurately and make sure its promotion by creators is lawful in every country the collab targets. In a regulated sector such as finance, gambling or health, you check that it is allowed and give creators any wording the law requires.
Never a hidden ad
You may never ask a creator to hide that the content is an ad, or to say something untrue. Creator obligations gives general information on the rules for sponsored content, with a focus on France and the European Union.
A clear ad label
Pay per result ties the creator to your brand financially. For a connection of that kind, the FTC says the ultimate responsibility for disclosure rests with the influencer and the brand, not with the social platform the content is posted on. Ask for a clear ad label in your collab’s conditions.
How is Yousie different from a UGC agency?
A UGC agency that charges a fee per video or a monthly retainer is paid whether or not the content brings anyone, and in exchange you get the videos or the agency’s time. On Yousie, creators publish on their own accounts and you pay for valid downloads or actions through their links. You receive no video files by default, and running a creator’s video in your own advertising needs that creator’s agreement.
Who owns the videos, and can I run them as ads?
The creator does. Creators keep the rights in their content and publish it on their own channels, so you receive no files by default. Running a video in your own advertising needs its creator’s agreement, which your collab’s conditions can include when they say so clearly.
What happens if no creator joins, or nobody installs?
You pay nothing, and you get nothing. No creator is obliged to join a collab, and the terms say Yousie does not promise brands a number of results. You can change or end a collab.
What counts as a result, and who checks it?
A result is a download of your app, or another action your collab defines, that Yousie’s tracking attributes to a creator’s Yousie link. Yousie counts results from its own tracking data, and a result obtained by fraud, or in breach of the terms or of your conditions, is not charged. If you think a count is wrong, the terms give one route: write to Yousie with the details. The full definition is under what counts as a result.
Can I choose or approve the creators who join my collab?
Yousie does not publish whether a brand can invite, approve or exclude creators. The terms give you your collab’s conditions, which every creator who takes part agrees to follow, and the privacy policy says you see the results of your collabs and the profile information Yousie shows about the creators who join them. If choosing creators matters to you, raise it in a demo.
Which kinds of app can run a collab on Yousie?
You may list an app you own or are authorized to promote, provided its promotion by creators is lawful in every country your collab targets. In a regulated sector such as finance, gambling or health, checking that is your responsibility, and so is giving creators any wording the law requires. The homepage shows Shopping, Finance, Travel, Lifestyle and Education as categories. Which stores and operating systems are supported is not published.
Is paying creators per download incentivized traffic?
Yousie does not reward the person who installs: only the creator is paid, and only for valid results. The terms forbid creators from offering a reward for a download, and a result obtained that way is not charged. Whether a store or an ad network would class a campaign as incentivized is theirs to say: this is Yousie’s own rule, not a position taken by an app store.
